What about junkmail, community newspapers and phonebooks? In Australia we get that stuff all the time. However it is abused and some peoples letterboxes get blown apart by bombs.

I have signed up to BookMooch but it is hard to just browse books and often I use my local library to find books and I prefer releasing books through BookCrossing. I do swap books normally with friends though.

Has anyone tried say putting a book in about ten letter boxes so when they check the mail they get a book waiting for them? I just thought about it and I'm thinking it might work.
