In April of 2013, BookCrossing will be 12 years old (Yikes, that's 84 in Ballycumber years). The BookCrossing Convention, celebrated in April of every year, is looking for a host city. Our 2012 Convention will be held in Dublin, Ireland, and while we know it seems early to be thinking about festivities in 2013, we typically select the location 2 years in advance to aid in planning and preparation.

Bids for the 2013 Convention will be presented at the 'BC in DC' 10-year Anniversary Convention in April, though you need not actually be present to speak. BookCrossing Cofounders, Bruce or Heather, will pitch your city on your behalf, or share your persuasive video tape and script with the attendees. Consider hosting the Anniversary Convention in 2013 and email your bid (slideshows, videos, text, etc.) to laura@bookcrossing.com no later than April 13, 2011, so we can present your bid to the group. If you're a bit hesitant, a great place to gather information about hosting a convention is this article by FutureCat. Show off your city by playing host to one of the most exciting events surrounding BookCrossing!
