corner corner Here, There, (Almost) Everywhere: 2010 Anniversary Convention and UnConventions
February 12, 2010

If you wish to fill your holidays with adventure this year, why not plan some trips around BookCrossing? You could begin your grand tour by visiting Amsterdam, The Netherlands (16-18 April) for the 2010 Anniversary Convention, BookCrossing's ninth birthday celebration. The program looks great, and you'll be among the first to learn what CEO Bruce Pedersen and his crew have planned for BookCrossing in the coming year. Plus, you'll get to hear some wonderful authors, attend workshops, release books around the city, and you can even visit the Anne Frank house. Registration is still open, so check out all the details here. May 21-24 can find you in Thessaloniki, Greece for the 5th Greek BookCrossing Convention. The program has not yet been announced, but this fabulous website has lots of information about the city and local BookCrossers. You can read more about this convention in an article here. Next, be sure to get yourself to Boston, Massachusetts, USA for the North American UnConvention on August 13-15. There is UnCon information at this website or in this article. Finally, October can be a busy month for you, because the United Kingdom UnConvention is being held in Swindon, Wiltshire on October 1-3 (website coming soon), and the Australian/NZ Unconvention happens in Sydney, Australia on October 22-24 (website here). Both these groups know how to throw a great BookCrossing party. So book your travel tickets, and register for these wonderful Conventions and UnCons today!

P.S. Don't forget that the 2012 Convention needs a home. Maybe your city? Click here for details.
