BookCrossing honored at the 6th annual Literacy in Media Awards

On October 20th, 2004, BookCrossing.com was honored at the 6th annual Literacy in Media Awards, which are intended to honor, thank and celebrate individuals and productions who showcase the importance of reading and/or writing in film, television, radio and online. BookCrossing was one of four finalists in the Outstanding Interactive or Online Media category. Pictured here at the event is our founder, Ron Hornbaker, with actor and social activist Edward James Olmos, the recipient of the Literacy Lifetime Achievement Award and keynote speaker.
