In the News

April 16, 2005
align=left hspace=5> Congratulations to Cajunz! An article she wrote on BookCrossing -- first published in The Baton Rouge Journal, March 2005, has been reprinted not once, not twice but eleven times so far in the following online publications:
Tulsa Computer Society, Connecticut PC Users Group, Association of PC User Groups, Mountain View Computer Users Group, Palmetto PC Club of Columbia, SC, Sandwich Computer User Group, and Santa Clarita Valley PC User Group.

With the BookCrossing/Book Aid International mass release on April 18, we know there were scads of articles and media releases all throughout the UK. Here is a sample of what they were saying.

Word on the street is that our Semioticghost is a Page 3 girl! Well, not exactly, but she did have a fab interview in the Ipswich Evening Star entitled "Bookcrossing Craze carries Charity's Message - A novel way to get the world reading". The text of the article can be found here.

And we hear tell that Reno is to be interviewed by Fox News (TV) in Chicago sometime this week. So if you're in the Chicago area and see a book that seems to be looking for a new home, grab it up and see if it's a BookCrossing book. You never know who'll be watching! Plus, he'll be interviewed by BBC4 Radio in the UK April 20, along with author Neil Gaiman, to air this Sunday, April 24 at 4pm local time and again next Thursday, April 28 4pm. We'll post the links in the Announcements forum when we get them!

Remember, if you know of a media event involving BookCrossing, you can let us know by sending a message with "newsletter" in the subject to us from our Contact form (use the "feedback" option) and we'll try to feature it in a future edition.
