I got inspired to join BookCrossing by my sister, hootnoodle, who is one of the champion BookCrossers, especially for wild releases. Most of the books on my bookshelf don't reflect my reading tastes, since I have purchased a number of books at thrift stores
and library book sales specifically for release. I have found a lot of books to read that way, though. My shelves of books to be read are overflowing. I've found some interesting books that I never would have picked up if I hadn't joined BookCrossing.
Note to fellow BookCrossers: Generally I don't do postal releases due to the time and expense involved in mailing books. I would be happy to trade in person with BookCrossers in the Seattle area.
Thanks to everyone who catches a BC book and enters a journal note! It's fun to release a book into the wild, then hear that someone was happy to find it.
Happy reading, and release those books!
