I've been inactive in this community for quite sometime..Been busy with work, too busy that I never got hold of a book for months now. I am trying to go back to the habit...Guilty as I am, I never had the chance to open the books that I have won 4months ago =?

Hopefully now that my work load is lesser, so it means less stress, more energy to read real books...then, I can read some few pages, after get to sleep, just like the old me...

I had joined bookcrossing for months now, but sadly I didn’t make any time to at least browse the site and check out what other stuffs are in store for me when I get to become a member. Now’s the only moment I thought of giving myself a break and explore the site.

Been staying (for work) here in China for almost two years now. I had searched for bookstores that sell books that I can read (in English texts I mean), but unfortunately I really cannot find one, or at least buy a book on my line of interest. Except if I travel all the way to Hong Kong. I am always hungry for good books. I still have to ask a friend who happens to be going home to the Philippines to at least buy me a book to read. Or I either bring with me some (about 3-5 books) when I get to have a vacation, which sadly happens only once a year. Good thing I have this friend who also has the same passion for books as mine.

Reading books makes my soul feel at ease from the pressures at work and simply the stress that my daily activities give me. I feel the serenity of my inner being when I read books. I get to relax and calm my moods. But sometimes I get too carried away from what I am reading. Reading takes me to a place where only me at most times realize and understand. But in reality, it only speaks of life. I only tend to delve deeper on to what I read. Reading just makes me ponder and wander…

I spend most of my time reading books authored by Paulo Coehlo- we have so much to talk about. I am dying to meet him. Also I love some books by Milan Kundera, Alice Sebold, John Grisham, and Nick Bantock and Nicholas Sparks. I have read quite a lot of books already. Some books that I am interested in reading are the likes of Memoirs of A Geisha, Love in Time of Cholera, Da Vinci Code, Tuesdays with Morrie and many others.

I am hoping that I could get to meet someone here who could give me more books by Paulo Coelho. Specially his book entitled “Eleven Minutes.”
