Extended Profile
31/1/2006
I'm afraid that I'm currently a very unactive bookcrosser. I can still be contacted with PMs, but if you're sending a message to tell me that I'm next in some ring or ray, for the time being I think it's just best if you skip me.
---
Note: I have a wishlist but it's not up-to-date because I'm unable to view it on my own computer. If you want to know what books I'm wishing for, just ask.
I read a lot of speculative fiction, but enjoy old-fashioned murder mysteries and some mainstream novels too. I'm also obsessed about vampire stories and "what if"-alternative history stuff.
I'm always reading something but never finish anything I'm not really enjoying. That's why the books I do finish tend to get many stars.
Some of my favourite books are The Gormenghast novels by Mervyn Peake, The Secret History by Donna Tartt, The Harry Potter series by J K Rowling, Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë, I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith, Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke, Captain Corelli's Mandolin by Louis de Bernieres, House of Leaves by Mark Z Danielewski and almost everything by Jeff Vandermeer, Robin McKinley, Tom Holland and Gregory Maguire.
