I have an addiction to books. My office is full, my house is full, my car is full. Family members have suggested I look for a 12-step program. If I ever go bankrupt it will be due to my book buying. Being a college professor doesn't make it any easier to get away from books, so why try? I teach in a Religious Studies and Women Studies department in the south. I have traveled the world living in places like Japan, Hawaii, Germany, Greece and Iran. I have several children and am about to experience empty nest syndrome. I have quilted by hand for twenty years and am about to take up spinning and weaving.

My favorite books tend to be biographical or history related. I love Native American authors such as Leslie Marmon Silko, James Welch, Alexie Sherman and Louise Erdrich. Am currently reading William Least Heat Moon's "Riverhorse". Excellent book. Loved reading Dayton Duncan's book "Out West".
