PM'ing me?
If you have PM'd me and don't hear back within 3 days, please try again. I make a conscientious effort to get back to everyone who takes the time to PM me. Even if the answer to their PM is a polite 'No thank you'.
If I have PM'd you and you are here checking me out, welcome. I attempt to make all outgoing PM's cordial and brief and don't have a problem with again, a polite 'No thank you', but a response one way or the other is greatly appreciated. As I said above I have been having PM problems so if I don't get a response after a week or so, or I don't get a confirming copy in my email, I may PM you again. This is NOT an attempt to annoy you so please don't take it wrong.
Thanks for stopping by!

My greatest treasures in life are my son (Thomas), my husband of 28 years (Steven) who never laughs when I bring home another bag of books, my animals, and of course... my books.
We homeschool our son using the K12 curriculum through the California Virtual Academy, a charter public school system. I highly recommend it and if you need more info by all means contact me. I am willing to share all information I get and will gladly pass along the materials that generous BookCrossers have shared with me.

You're Siddhartha!
by Hermann Hesse
You simply don't know what to believe, but you're willing to try
anything once. Western values, Eastern values, hedonism and minimalism, you've spent
some time in every camp. But you still don't have any idea what camp you belong in.
This makes you an individualist of the highest order, but also really lonely. It's
time to chill out under a tree. And realize that at least you believe in
ferries.

Animal census:
Poppi - male Chihuahua dachsund mix from Mission Viejo Animal Shelter. 3 mos. old and quite a clown. Internet calls them Chi-Weenies, we call him wonderful!
Princess - female Yorkie mix, looks like ToTo from Wizard of Oz. She IS the princess. What's hers is hers, what's his is hers and what's theirs (cats) is hers! 10 mos old and from a private rescue operation in South LA. She's quite a pip!
Mogwai - Egyptian Mau (cross ?)
Bob - DSH, pet for Thomas who decided to bond with me instead. Hey, he knows who buys the food and his 22 pound bulk proves he takes advantage of it!
Gracie - Manx, shelter rescue originally for M-I-L but fell in love with Thomas and is now his most ardent protector. Trust me you don't mess with him when this cat is around!
Dude - Applehead Siamese kitten who showed up at the house one morning. Weren't able to find his owner so he's now ours.
11/22/11
Lost Xiao Hong on Monday, 11/21/11, poor little red-headed boy. He's going to be missed greatly.
Lost Pywacket (profile pic) the Monday after Christmas 2011. She's the one who started it all and although never very social, she's left a big hole in the household.
Memorable quotes:
"We are only showing them the net, we are not being their wings."
- Vihnode, dwarf driver "A Son of the Circus" by John Irving
"There is so much to grieve over in our world that it would be pointless to grieve over ancient wrongs."
- Tally, museum cleaning woman "The Murder Room" by P. D. James
"Anne didn't think twice about the 'if she lost' part. She was a red-head, which is a blonde with poor impulse control."
- "Courting Trouble" by Lisa Scottoline
**International shipping**
I am unable to ship international because my local PO substation doesn't do international (or take checks or credit cards for that matter). I regret that any international shipping requests will have to be declined until my situation changes.
