Hey all - I love to read all types of books (except Harlequin-type romances and I do read those once in awhile, if they are set in Ireland or Australia or have to do with horses), although I have more time in the winter than the summer. :-) I have always
loved books and love BookCrossing! Unfortunately I don't make it to this site all that much any more, but I do still try to keep up at least a bit.
I enjoy swapping books but my funds for mailing are limited and, since I have about 3000 books to read.... I don't do a lot of swapping - but it doesn't hurt to ask. :-)
I am listing my PC books on my shelf so people can see what I really enjoy reading. I get a lot of books at library bag sales to trade and release but they don't really show my personal reading preferences. My PC books consist of my absolute favorites so they are not for trading or loans. I also have some books on my PC shelf that I haven't read so they could be either PC or AVL when I have finished them.
We live in the country and I love animals of all kinds. We currently have 2 cats, 2 dogs, horses, and tropical fish. We've had almost every type of animal and poultry over the years (when our kids were in 4-H). We love kids and have 6 children, 4 girls and 2 boys (born in 1974, 1977, 1983, 1985, 2000, and 2012), 3 grandsons (born in 2000, 2005, and 2013) and 2 granddaughters (born in 2012 and 2015).
We have adopted from China, Guatemala, and the Nebraska foster system. We were licensed foster parents for several years but have decided not to continue with that. My husband and I are both retired but still keep busy on our acreage!
