The picture on my profile is of the ex durham cathedral restaurant OBCZ. The manager bought us a bookcase, after the crate we were using got damaged. Unfortunately when the bookcase fell apart they closed the OBCZ down.

I intermittently get about 150-200 books a month from freecycle, so if you like the look of my availables, please ask. I prefer to pass them on by hand, to keep costs down, but will consider sending for postage, trade or just for fun if I'm feeling well off that month. I can get books to meets at Durham and Newcastle, but travel so will consider almost anywhere UK as a challenge. Abroad will almost always mean surface mail.

Please don't be shy about asking, especially if you're local, as I prefer to fill my bags for a meet up with books I know people want rather than randomly select some and hope they're OK.

This also means that my bookshelf is an unreliable way to see my book preferences.

Also I like most fantasy and sci-fi, but am not too bothered by chick lit or thrillers.

As for other things, I'm really easy to please, but I am allergic to chocolate. I'm putting this here, not because I expect you all to send me things (although I won't mind, as long as they are nice things) but because I like doing the Not-So-Secret-Surprises on BCUK, and know that while not everyone finds the BCUK info, most people would check the profile.

I trade at bookmooch and am always looking for new ways to share reading, and books with like minded people.
I am also hooked on bookswaps which are now only on BCUK extra.
