ANNOUNCEMENT (PLEASE READ):

I have too many books in my "To Be Read" piles, my postage budget is strained, and am working on some projects, so I do *no trades*(sorry). And, my books are not for sale!

I LOVE to read, and to learn something new every day! I'm a stay-at-home lady, but I try to keep myself occupied, whenever I get the energy.

My screen name, scavok, comes from my admiration of the brilliantly crazy Ernie Kovacs, television pioneer and visionary. Ernie left us in 1962, and we still haven't quite caught up to him--he was so far ahead of his time!

I read all sorts of books--whatever looks interesting to me--so my tastes are varied. I do like mysteries (Sherlock Holmes is my favorite) and non-fiction best of all genres. I am a classic film fan (film noir, Alfred Hitchcock's films, and mostly pre-1960's films), and enjoy classical music (mostly Romantic and late-Romantic composers), classic rock and roll, and photography. I also like to write (fiction, non-fiction, and poetry). And, I am an avid "Law & Order" (especially Sam Waterston!), "Dark Shadows," and Humphrey Bogart fan.
