Recent Book Activity

March 24, 2012: After taking a chance and coming back to the forum, and reaching out with best wishes to a fellow bookcrosser, my words were taken the wrong way and I have to put my health first. I am leaving bookcrossing, but I will do all in my power to pass on the books in my possession. Thank you for understanding and to the few friends I have made here, you know how to stay in touch with me.:)


I have been a behind the scenes member a lot lately and will be even more so now, after receiving several emails telling me I shouldn't keep asking for things on the forums. ( I will not mention names so they do not get treated badly in the forums) I want you all to know I never meant to offend anyone, I only asked for baby donations to make this a wonderful experience for my daughter in-law. I will no longer be visiting the forums (after I post a note about this update) but I will continue to read and check wishlists in case I have a book someone wants and will send them as I can.I felt so welcomed and comfortable when I first joined this family, but now I feel like I am being pushed out for reasons I don't understand. I will happily answer PM's, and if anyone wants to stay in touch with me via my personal email or facebook, that is great. I think of you all often, and will continue to do so, but I will not be in the forums anymore. I will spend my time reading, working on my granddaughter's website I created when she was born, create one for my new grandchild when the time comes, and prepare for the new arrival. Be kind to one another, and know words do hurt so choose your words carefully. Take care and I will miss you all.

Names on my friends list are bookcrossers I have either traded with, sent/received rabcks to/from, sent/received cards/gifts to/from, or have given me their address to add to my list for future surprises! Oh yes, some really have become my friends, lol.

PC books are books that I am either collecting or may release at a much later date or to be passed on to my family first.

When I am not reading or on the computer, I am usually working on cross stitch, knitting or plastic canvas crafts.

I like reading stories about child abuse (physical, emotional, sexual) mainly because I can relate to it. I also enjoy reading books set around Christmas time, my favourite time of year.

My wishllist is pretty much up-to-date and my mailing info is current at Rabck.com (Thanks Terry for suggesting to put this info here)

Controlled Releases: In case you wonder why I have no controlled releases, I just do a journal entry and send it travelling.

I am trying to collect Chicken Soup for the Soul books as well as A Cup of Comfort books.

I am collecting addresses of BC members so people can contact me if they want to surprise someone. I am doing this because a lot of bookcrossers are having problems accessing rabck.com Feel free to PM your address to me. I promise to keep it safe.

PLEASE NOTE: I would love to collect photos of bookcrossers, not to be shared with anyone, just as a way to put faces to names. Would you please consider mailing me your picture?
