I came across bookcrossing by accident while browsing a review website, thought it sounded interesting and joined up straight away. I only registered my first few books a couple of days ago, released one yesterday and am amazed it’s already been found and journalled!!
Am so glad it’s gone to a good home.
I could quite happily sit and read all day, although have little time for that since our daughter came along. My husband is thrilled that I've found a way to get rid of some of my huge collection - I've previously refused to lose any one of my books, even the
ones I didn't enjoy much!!
My favourite author of all time is Iain Banks and I enjoy mysteries, thrillers, crime stories and humour, as well as quirky books and a little bit of sci fi and fantasy. I also love being introduced to an author I haven't read before or discovering a fantastic
new book.
Thankyou to everyone who’s made me feel very welcome – I already feel at home here and am genuinely overwhelmed by the generosity and friendliness of the bookcrossers I’ve been in touch with so far. I think I’m going to like it here!!
Thankyou to TheDunedan for the following rating system. I’ve decided to use this due to my tendency to rate almost every book somewhere around a 6 or 7 and to help me be a bit more consistent with my ratings.
1 - only read a few pages
2 - read more than a few pages but didn't finish
3 - finished book, but more a chore than pleasure
4 - finished book , but wouldn't choose to read another by this author
5 - average, but wouldn't put me off another book by same author
6 - slightly better than average , would try author again
7 - better than average, would definitely read this author again
8 - Very good and enjoyable would look out for author again
9 – Very, very enjoyable, would recommend to others, possible permanent collection
10 - Excellent, definitely permanent collection, actively recommend to others
