I'll read a lot of different stuff, but I really like well written childrens/teens books, 'coming of age' type books, believable/innovative historical fiction, Southern gothic type literature, dark poetry and apocalyptic sci-fi. I'm always after anything to do with knitting, spinning or pottery/ceramic art.

I prefer to avoid chick lit (it annoys me so!), 'high' fantasy, traditional science fiction and romance.
