Extended Profile
I've been an avid reader since I was very young, and though my pleasure reading dropped off a bit while I was going to school part time and working full time, now that I have more time to myself again I'm back to devouring books.
I have an eclectic but picky taste. I love historical fiction, but not the romance kind. I also like dramatic fiction, for lack of a better description... not much into "chick lit" or mysteries or thrillers, although as a teen my favorite authors were John Saul and Dean Koontz, and I will read a thriller now and then as "brain candy". I think "Lightning" is still pretty high on my all-time favorites list.
I am also very taken with geology, and science in general, so I have a number of non-fiction books in that arena that I've enjoyed. In non-fiction I also like womens studies, sociology, relgion, and some history.
