bookcrossing brought me back to reading real books. books on this shelf are items that chose to come live with me for a while, no matter what i thought of them. now it's time to let them see the world. i hope they find hosts that value them for what they are. the books i hang on to (travel, africa, bio's, journalism, certain writers) are seldom on this shelf, but a bit of my taste is reflected in the ring list below, and in a wish list:
journal entries by me are in the book's language, or at least an attempt to do so.
i would love to hear of any books from or about sub-saharan africa: there's a world of books i haven't even heard of.
