A bit about me:
Frenchie, married to an Aussie and living in sunny Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. We have a gorgeous baby girl, Miss P, born in March 2010 and a beautiful dog, Babyjane, a female Staffie/Kelpie cross both of whom we love to bits!

I read a lot of books (as everyone here) and this as far as I can remember. As a kid, I particularly loved going to the supermarket with my mum as I would spend the whole shopping trip in the comics aisle with my brother and sister (these were the happys days where kids did not get kidnapped when left alone in a supermarket). And a trip to the supermarket usually meant coming back home with a brand new book. That was heaven!!! I was also the kind of kid reading in secret at night when I was supposed to sleep, hidden under the duvet with a flashlight!

I read mainly fiction, especially historical fiction, or anything giving me a least a glimpse of another culture/country/time. But I also like Classics and most Non-Fiction. I don't read Crime, Horror, Romance, Fantasy or Self-Help books. They just don't do it for me.
Amongst my favourite authors are Paul Auster and Salman Rushdie.

I am currently making my way through the "1001 books list" and I'm slowly (but surely) getting there!

I am also catching up on the Classics and I'm loving it. I have been meaning to read more Classics for years but somehow never got around to it, even though every time I picked one up, I discovered I really envoyed it. So I decided 2008 would be the year for me to start reading them again!

I don't register all of my books, as I share my library with my husband who does not bookcross. So none of his books are registered, and those books of mine that he wants to keep in the house also remain unregistered.

About bookcrossing:

I love Trades! If I have anything on my AVL or TBR that you are interested in, please PM me. I am willing to trade a book against another book, wings, or bookmarks (which I collect). If it's on my TBR, I will put it next in my reading list, but please allow me some time to read the book before sending it on. I will consider simply doing RABCKs too, if I can afford them and you ask nicely. In any case, send me a PM, we'll work something out.

I read books in English, French and Italian so I'm happy to trade books in any of these languages.

My "Wild Releases" number really IS the number of books I released in the wild. For bookrings/rays, RABCK or books I give to people I know, I just make a journal entry.

My Wish List

I am now registered on rabck.com and my address is up to date. However, to avoid any problems, if you are sending me a ring, ray or box, please let me know by PM first.

RINGS I AM HOSTING

Those rings remain opened until completed. If you want to join, please PM me with location and shipping preferences and I'll add you to the list.
