Just a bit about me...
I'm married with two kids and two jobs, and lots and lots of hobbies. I have so far managed to convince my husband and daughter to join my favorite--Bookcrossing. My son, who is in the Air Force, still won't indulge me. Every once in a while he throws me a
bone and releases a book for me. But it's like pulling teeth.
My husband and I met in an English Lit class in college. Our tastes in books are completely different and so are our viewpoints. I used to sit in class and listen to this 'guy' explain symbolism and imagery in works like "Beowulf" and "Paradise Lost" and thought
--- who in the world would think like that??? My future husband, apparently. :)
Our house is overflowing with books. I learned about Bookcrossing from a small blurb in a USA Weekend article (I think) back in 2002 and thought it might be a neat way to pass along a few books that I didn't especially want to keep. At that point I was still
hording books and couldn't bear the thought of parting with any. Seven years later, I find that I have more books than ever even though I release books all the time. Our house is still overflowing with books, but we don't really care. They keep us happy.

Your Result: Obsessive releaser
You release, release, release. Discretion is not your middlename anymore. Buying grocery's, going to the dentist, a sunny day in the park, on holiday; every step you take, you take a book to go with you to be released. |
