I am currently reading Ham on Rye - Charles Bukowski
I am proudly South African and work for a leading literacy NGO in Johannesburg (also known as Jozi or Egoli - The City of Gold)
I am a father and a grandfather and have no idea how a grandfather is supposed to behave! (My daughters think I’m weird in any event.) I live in sin with my heart girl in the Westdene/Melville area of Johannesburg which is like a little village hidden in this
big city.
I have a wide variety of interests, love reading, keep journals, and is an absolute Formula 1 motor racing fanatic. My current passion is photography and I walk the streets of inner Jozi most weekends discovering the magic of a city in transition. I have quite
an eclectic taste in music as well in what I read, from horror to non-fiction. I also have great admiration for the visionaries, maniacs and wide-eyed dreamers of this world for whom the impossible becomes possible and write about them sometimes on my blog

My avatar is my English Bulldog, Mr Baggins Gandalf of Noble Look, who I loved to bits. He sadly passed away on 7 June 2010. He was a noble, proud and stubborn animal and is most probably chasing the angels around in heaven.
The books in my PC reflects my taste in reading and is not available for trade, they are very precious to me.
There are very few active bookcrossers in South Africa but I keep on releasing books on occasion with the hope that they will be read and enjoyed by someone somewhere.
NOTE: Through my work I come into contact with a large variety of books, mainly children's literature but also the occasional samples/donations that can't be used within the ambit of what we do. These I will release from time to time marked as "trawled books".
I will not release junk, only those that I feel will be suitable standard for bookcrossing.
