Extended Profile

Greetings from Grahamstown. I am a librarian, a writer and a compulsive reader. I love sharing books so bookcrossing is just the best.

I have started up a book ring / box to circulate books among South African bookcrossers. You receive three books in the post. Two you release in your town, one you post to the next person, along with two of your books. Not only do you get to read some interesting books, but your own books will be released in two other towns. The list of participants so far is below. If anyone else would like to join in please send me a pm and I will add you to the list.

Many of the books on my shelf have been bought at charity sales for releasing or donated to the Grahamstown Official BookCrossing Zone, so don't really reflect my tastes. Generally I like poetry, science fiction and fantasy, classics, contemporary women's writing, African literature, children's books, books on writing, history, spirituality and and and... See my wishlist for a few examples. If this seems too eclectic, well what can you expect from someone who has pics of Piglet and Jane Austen on their shelf:)

You Are Sky Blue

Dreamy and creative, you see the potential in everyone ... and everything!

And while you strive to have an ideal life, you are pretty mellow about it. You know your time will come.

You are Piglet.
You choose your friends wisely and even though they
may be few in number, they are high in
importance.
You feel most comfortable when you can follow the
crowd and let others make decisions. But that's
not to say you can't make up your own mind if
you need to.
Faithful and true, Piglets make the best friends.

Which Pooh character are you?

Austen
You are Jane Austen; witty, sarcastic, observant
and bored. You wrote brilliant novels, sardonic
portraits of love and society in the early
1800s. For such an imaginative and brilliant
thinker, you had a vey uneventful life, and a
way with words. You are most remembered for
Pride and Prejudice. A sarcastic and analytical
thinker, you know the secrets of the human
mind.

Which Historical Personage are You?

You're the United Nations!

Most people think you're ineffective, but you are trying to
completely save the world from itself, so there's always going to be a long
way to go.  You're always the one trying to get friends to talk to each
other, enemies to talk to each other, anyone who can to just talk instead of
beating each other about the head and torso.  Sometimes it works and sometimes
it doesn't, and you get very schizophrenic as a result.  But your heart
is in the right place, and sometimes also in New York.
