The picture is of a Slow Loris (Nycticebus coucang). They are amazing little primates. I love them!!

If I have ever sent you a book (in a trade, as a bookring, or as a wish) or you have caught one of my wild releases, please add a post to my map, showing your location. Thanks!! For easier viewing you may want to select "dots" at the top, this will show dots, instead of the people icons. And, of course, using "Zoom+" will help with posting accuracy as well. *smile*

I WENT TO BORNEO IN NOVEMBER 2007. WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! I am massively in love with Malaysia (and Costa Rica still, too!!)

In November 2004, I spent 15 wonderful days in Costa Rica (note all the registered guide books). It was tremendous. And I even had a wild release captured while there (See "Mr. White's Confession" below). This hunky weather pixie lets me focus on the weather in Puerto Limon, Costa Rica. And that lovely young lady in Sandakan, Malaysia was me in November '07

Man, I totally love the idea of bookcrossing. In Autumn 2003 I had a grand adventure of backpacking around Europe and was excited about freeing my books there as I finished them. I released a few, but no one ever registered them. LAME PEOPLE. I have had partial success here in the States and have come to accept that releases are worthwhile, even if they are not all "found".

Also, I think that trading books with another bookcrosser is a rad idea. So, if anyone fancies something on my book shelf, send me a PM. I'll gladly send it to you in exchange for something of my choice on your shelf. Also feel free to check out my wishlist for a list of books that I'm just dying to read. What a deal, huh? I'm even open to the idea of loaning a personal collection book.

Sustainable is Attainable

Still, hmmmm, about me. I graduated University in 2003. I'm currently the office manager for a small construction company and, surprisingly, having a great time. I've always enjoyed creating order out of chaos (the state of my bedroom closet notwithstanding) and Power is nice too (this is the reason why I LOVE stage managing). Let's see: I'm pretty easy going and very easy to please. I tend to find something I like in almost all people, books, music, films, etc--that being said, I'm still a discerning critic and I love discussion, debate and rhetoric. I think all books should be freed but for terribly selfish and sentimental reasons there are many of my most loved books that I can't part with, but you're always welcome to beg...I'm willing to loan them out. Reading is great and this website rocks. Oh, and I have a totally wonderful cat named Asparagus (from a TS Elliot poem).

create your own visited countries map
or vertaling Duits Nederlands
Costa Rica is such a tiny little splotch in Central America. And it is very apparent that I wasn't able to get a ride to go to Swaziland (white dot in the middle of South Africa) while backpacking in Africa. Be sure to notice that the Cape Verde islands (itty bitty speck off of western Africa) is red as well (my flight home had a layover there). I FINALLY took a trip to SouthEast Asia to help balance out my map. Hoorah! *smile*

create your own visited states map

While these are all the states in which I've been, I only visited the airports in several of these states (Georgia, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, Texas). But I at least spent one night sleeping in all the other states shown. Woohoo!! These maps make me feel very well traveled.
