I am 32 years odl and have been travelling the world for a few years now. When I was at home I held on to most of the books I read and since living out of backpacks on hostels I have grown to appreciate book exchanges at hostels. Except they only ever
have books left that are in lamguages other than english. I spose some of the German/French/Spanish speaking travellers think that its an even exchange!!! Anyways, its pure bliss when you finally come across a hostel that has a book worth reading. If I am
heading home I always leave my finished books at the hsotel and don't pick on up. Imagine my surprise when I left a copy of Bill Bryson's Small Island in Damascus and the very same copy turned up in Lebanon 2 or 3 weeks later!!!! With my scrawled in bus journey
notes.
