Extended Profile
Welcome to my bookshelf. I registered on this amazing site after seeing an article in the Weekend Australian Aug 2003.
Bookcrossing has helped me to combine two of my favourite activities - reading and travelling! I have released books in over 20 countries since I became a bookcrosser .
I have been to International Bookcrossing Conventions in New Zealand, USA, Ireland, UK , Greece and France. Melbourne hosted the international convention in 2014 and I was thrilled to be a part of the organising committee.
We have regular meetups in Melbourne and welcome new bookcrossers. Dates and locations can be found on the Conventions and Meetups Forum or our Facebook page www.facebook.com/---/295033267352317/?...
One of my favourite books has become my signature releasing book - a book I love to leave in exotic destinations. Here are two of my catches from this book -
Dr Seuss's "Oh the places you'll go" at Machu Picchu, 17 years after dreaming of going there one day! ..and another copy in April 2011 at Dr Seuss Sculpture Park in Springfield, Massachusetts - two catches and two new members.
...and this catch is why I love Bookcrossing so much!

Some of my favourite wild release catches :-
Beach Road
Elmo Loves You - this one has had five different catchers
A Trail of Fire
The Fall of a Sparrow
The Dry
