Hello everyone, I come from Wigan, Lancashire in England, and I am Chairman/co Founder of a Community Co-operative Press called Towpath. I'm also Chairman of a Writers' and Literary Club called Ashton Writers. I have recently had my first novel published
by the most fantastic Publishers in the world called BeWrite - find them at BeWrite.net and discover how helpful and encouraging they are, especially to new writers.
As soon as I heard of Urbis's initiative, I took my book along and I have just read my very first unsolicited review by a fellow bookcrosser called douganange who rated me a wonderful eight stars. Wow! The book is called Matabele Gold and can be purchased at
BeWrite.net. or Amazon etc.
My message to readers out there, surprise yourself and try writing a book. It's the most wonderful experience, and when you get published there's no feeling quite like it.
Since my opening entry I've had a further book published, also by BeWrite.net, and it's been 'ringed' by YokoSpungeon of London. It visited U.S.A, Finland, Germany and the U.K. and I'm pleased to report, it achieved an average seven star rating. The information
from Bookcrossers is invaluable, since it's difficult to obtain genuinely objective feedback. Strangely, as important as the positive comments are, so, are the negatives, and these compel the writer to review, and justify, the character and plotting decisions
he has had to take in order to create a viable book [not every project undertaken results in a book, BookCrossers only ever see those successful ones]. Message to BookCrossers - 'Keep crossing'.
