About meHello! I'm a 41 year old book fanatic, living in the province of Zuid-Holland, the Netherlands. When I'm not working (I'm a full-time mother and physician) you can either find me with my nose in a book or on here registering and reading about books!

My mother used to say I don't read books - I DEVOUR them! I read anything I can get my hands on: books, magazines, newspapers, and if there's nothing else, I'll read the labels on jelly jars and other food wraps! My 11 year old son loves BookCrossing as wel. You can find his bookshelf here.

My bookstore, Luna BooksMy biggest hobby is my bookstore. Reading and being busy with books got a bit out of hand, and the result is Luna Books, my bookstore. I love going out to find more books to add to the site, working on the webdesign of the site, and being in touch with other people with the same hobby. If you are looking for second hand books, come take a look! It's fun to give away free BookCrossing books as a little present every now and then when people order books in my store. Needless to say BC books don't ever get sold!

WritingI not only love to read, I love to write as well. I am a NaNoWriMo 2003 Winner, which means I have written a complete novel in the month of November 2003. I'm currently working on the editing part. I participated in NaNoWriMo 2004, but I was too busy with work and other things to finish it. Maybe next time!

The books I readAlthough I'm Dutch, I prefer to read English books. I haven't been able to find any Dutch authors that I really like, and I don't like to read Dutch translations of English books, because they never quite seem to say what the author really meant to say.

  • Diana Gabaldon - Voyager (Outlander series book 3)

  • Nora Roberts books (the ones I've read are on my bookshelf; if you have one that's not on there, please keep me in mind!). I'm a true Nora Roberts addict! I haven't read any of her alter ego JD Robb books yet, but when I can get my hands on one, I certainly will!
  • I just read Fern Michaels's "Sara's song", and I truly loved it. Going to look for more Fern Michaels books, although there hard to come by here.
  • Chicklit (like Sheila O'Flannigan, Jill Mansell, Sophie Kinsella, etc)
  • Medical thrillers (like Robin Cook, I've read them all, I think)
  • Patricia Cornwell (read most of them, I think, except for Blow Fly, Trace and Jack the Ripper))
