My love for reading started at a young age. My dad never went to school but was very good at carpentry. He did not know how to read so I did most of his reading for him. He loved hearing stories read by me of course. This started a practice in our family. When I came home from school on holidays my dad would bring out a book. His favourite books were westerns. I eventually started tutoring him when I was in grade 4. My love for literacy has taken me down many roads. I now work in the literacy field. My main interest is family literacy. I try to promote reading in my community and surrounding communities.
