Hi! :) I'm Cassian or Lotte (formerly Lottie), and I'm a very environmentally-friendly knitter. I design patterns and knit requests for people. Here's a link to my
Coriandr shop, and here's
my original designs on Ravelry.
I read a lot less than I used to since I got chronic fatigue syndrome about 2006/7, because I find it hard to concentrate and focus. My TBR shelf is pretty full, and I like my books to be read a lot, so friends may nick them on occasion.
I have a "caterpillar" system, which is a name I made up. I have one long TBR shelf on a mantelpiece, I don't ever use the fireplace. Anyway, when I read a book I take it from the left, and when I gain a book to read I add it to the right. Gradually all the
books shuffle from the right of the shelf to the left, like an extremely slow conveyor belt.
What with one thing and another, I'm forever having to bump books to the front of the queue, which means the next 10 or so books in the conveyor belt haven't actually moved - they've been overtaken by mostly bookrings, some trades, a couple of 1001-books. It's
these that I'd like to get moving, because when I moved into this flat in December I sorted all the books so that BC books were at the far left, in order of date received. The oldest is 4 years old, and I started collecting them three houses ago! I haven't
read them in so long because the order of the TBR books kept getting jumbled up in all the moves.
My hope is that I can start to make a dent in the long-term TBRs, and then get them moving again so that the previous owners can be excited to see them travel. :)

Swaps and Stuff (back to

I'm happy to swap with anyone anywhere, worldwide by surface mail. Have a browse at my AVL and TBR shelf, and if there's anything you'd like in exchange for something you have then PMs are most welcome. I try to read my TBR in the order I receive them, but
I'm happy to bump one up the pile for someone. Please do take a look at my wish list at
BookMooch or
here.

The Chattery has an established book exchange shelf towards the back of the cafe, on the right. They also do a very sexy fried breakfast.
The library cafe at Swansea Uni has an established book exchange shelf - go into the library and head right or ask at the counter.
Sadly, the OBCZs in Swansea are a bit rubbish at the moment. We had a regular meeting at Holbrooks but they've now stopped due to inactivity, and the exchange shelf never materialised.
