***ATTENTION BookCrossers!****
Since I go to school away from home and can't take all my books with me, I am hosting A LOT of bookrings! Please, feel free to join them - they're still open. I am doing this so that my books don't stay stuck on my shelf at home all year long. Take a look at the list below - you might find something that you like :) (many of them are "1001 books") Thanks!****

Hey everyone,
I am an idealistic girl living on this planet Earth.
I am a student at Florida State University and I am double majoring in English Literature and International Affairs.
I enjoy reading, writing, theater, art and running among many other things.
I'm not sure what I plan to do after college, but I am considering teaching and journalism...
I am also considering joining the Peace Corps or Teach for America after undergrad.
I love to travel and I just want to help people in life and help make a more peaceful world.

I like many different kinds of books, especially classics (literature - whether they be modern or ancient), history, philosophy, and books on religion/spirituality.
Some of my all-time favorite books include: East of Eden, Crime and Punishment, The Little Prince, Cat's Cradle, Atlas Shrugged, Everything is Illuminated, and 1984.
Some of my favorite authors include Gabriel Garcia Marquez, John Steinbeck, Ernest Hemingway, and Kurt Vonnegut.
I keep an open mind when it comes to books, but I tend to dislike romance novels and mysteries. Also, please note that the books on my bookshelf do not always reflect my taste in literature.

I love to collect postcards and am a member of postcrossing. Check out www.postcrossing.com to see what its all about!

Currently reading: The Mind's I: Fantasies and Reflections on Self and Soul by Douglas Hofstadter and Daniel Dennett; and On the Road by Jack Kerouac
