* Books remain listed here until they are safely in the hands of the next reader. There are, however, some titles that may not be listed through careless haste and forgetfulness.

Some books listed as "Reserved" are simply in limbo, awaiting the arrival of a label to replace a sticky note before their release.

And may I just say that without LGinder, SqueakyChu and Ibis3, I don't know what I'd be reading. Thanks!

I help Theunder with the OBCZ located at The Underground and also send books to a couple of other OBCZs. If you have books in need of a good home, please feel free to PM me. Thanks to everyone who's sent books or contacted me thus far with offers. The shelf has filled up quite quickly! It will likely remain full thanks in large part to the kindness of firegirl and Essenza OBCZ.

*** UPDATE: May 1, 2006 -- THE UNDERGROUND AND OUR BELOVED OBCZ ARE OFFICIALLY CLOSED. THE BOOKS PRESENTLY IN THE OBCZ ARE SAFE IN STORAGE UNTIL ANOTHER TRULY OFFICIAL AND BOOK-FRIENDLY LOCAL ZONE THAT IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC CAN BE ESTABLISHED. THOSE BOOKS CURRENTLY IN MY POSSESSION WILL BE CROSSED ELSEWHERE OR DIVERTED TO ANOTHER OBCZ. THE PITY OF IT IS THERE ARE LOTS OF PEOPLE WITH BOXES OF BOOKS AWAITING PICK UP.

BUT, YES, THERE ARE STILL BOOKS, BOOKS AND MORE BOOKS THAT ARE WAITING TO BE REGISTERED. WEEKS BEFORE ITS DEMISE, THE OBCZ WAS UNEXPECTEDLY FILLED WITH UNLABELED BOOKS. THESE HAVE BEEN GATHERED, BUT IT IS MORE THAN TWO BOXES' WORTH OF HARD- AND SOFT-COVER BOOKS. THIS IS IN ADDITION TO THE MAMMOTH COLLECTION OF UNREGISTERED BOOKS IN THE TRUNK OF MY CAR. I SIMPLY DO NOT HAVE THE SUPPLIES TO REGISTER ALL OF THESE, ESPECIALLY SINCE ALL OUR LOCAL COPY SHOPS (INDY + THE MAJOR CHAINS) STOPPED CARRYING 10-UP ADHESIVE LABELS.

IF YOU CAN HELP BY PROVIDING SOME ADHESIVE BOOKCROSSING LABELS, THAT WOULD BE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED. OR, IF YOU WOULD LIKE BOOKS FOR YOUR OBCZ AND ARE WILLING TO CONTRIBUTE SOME POSTAGE FOR MEDIA MAIL, A BOX WILL BE SHIPPED TO YOU. MEANWHILE, I'M DOING THE BEST I CAN TO GET THESE IN CIRCULATION.***

Got any novice/beginning level audio instruction on Chinese you're not using or don't want? Send it my way, please!

I've decided to (informally) undertake The A-Z Reading Challenge yet again. This means I have to read 26 books by authors new to me during the year, one author per letter of the alphabet.

Number of A-Z books read so far: 5
Remaining letters to be read: everything but D, K, M, S and Z

Also actively participating in The Canadian Literature book ring series created by Ibis3.

Effective September 25, 2006: Due to scheduling changes and until further notice, I will only be able to mail out packages once a week, if that. I appreciate everyone's patience as I work through this.
