The truck at Ripley's in Panama City Beach... the home "port" for now...

I live year-round in a recreational vehicle. I am currently on-the-road and am not as active at registering BookCrossing books as I was the first three years I was a member. Before I was living the RV lifestyle, I would participate in monthly BookCrossing meetings along the Treasure Coast (Fort Pierce/Vero Beach/Jensen Beach), special release events, themed releases, trading, Rings/Rays and wild releasing. If you ever come across a garden book from Florida in the wild... well, chances are it was from one of my special release events.

I do journal all I come across and continue to wild release registered books though. Most campgrounds and RV parks are great places, as they have shelves devoted to passing on books, as well as road maps, puzzles and travel guides.

August 26, 2011: Makes you wonder how it got there, doesn't it?
Thyme of Death: A China Bayles Mystery by Susan Wittig Albert.

June 5, 2011: Had a few read books looking at me... begging me to register and release them. So these will be the first I've registered in ages. Hope they find good homes!

March 23, 2010: Saw a copy of
Wild Animus at a used bookstore outside of San Antonio, Texas. Unfortunately the releaser had BC labels and stickers on it and no registration numbers inside!

May 17, 2009: My recent wild find (with photos) is
The Beach House by James Patterson.

January 12, 2009: I received a package from the postal service today that was damaged and the article missing. It was labeled "Media Mail" and the package had been involved in a fire. I have no idea if it was a BookCrossing book or from one of my other book sites. If you sent me a book and it was registered through BookCrossing, my apologies. The supervisor that handed me the "We're Sorry" bag said he'd never seen anything like this!

The rig (home) at a RV resort in Louisiana. Never know where home will move to next!
