Extended Profile
As far as a book ring or a controlled release or whatever.....I am game. Just drop me a line.
A bit about me....well, I love to read, or I wouldn't be here. I inherited my love of words from my mother and her large Irish family. She tried to get me started on Nancy Drew books while I was in grade school, but I was belligerently uninterested. That indifference extended into the school setting, where I would read everything and anything but required reading. What a perverse nature have I! I began my passion for reading in 6th grade with the Sweet Valley High series (blush, blush..hey, anything that will sweeten the bait on the hook, eh?) I moved right on to long non-fiction novels about the Russian Empire and autism; I cut my teeth on fiction by VC Andrews and Stephen King. I don't purchase books in any particular genre by default, although I am most attracted to crime thrillers and historical fiction.I am also a sucker for a catching title, as shallow as that may sound. I hope to be exposed to some literature that I wouldn't necessarily seek out on my own and maybe tackle some of the classics that I stubbornly refused while in high school. I also have a formidable stack of books that have yet to experience my fevered caresses:P:P
Other than that, I am a proud momma, an RN, a would be astrologer and an amateur writer who has taken a too-long sabbatical (or I am just plain lazy)
My Wish List
Book Rings to Which I Belong
Animal Farm
Lord of the Flies
