Extended Profile

I have so many books to read at the moment that I can't take on anymore. Please offer your book to someone else or make me happy and wild release it. I don't want your RABCK, trade, ray, ring etc. Thanks though.

One of the most amazing aspects of Bookcrossing to me, is the wild release and catch idea, the one the whole website is based on. To this end, I've started a Flickr Group to showcase the photos of books in the wild that some of us like to add to their release note entry. It's a public group and you are welcome to join. The more the merrier. Just note the harsh 'release photos only' rule :)

The last five books of mine caught and journalled from wild releases are listed below:

The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde
The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde
Simon's Cat by Simon Tofield
Tattoos: The Ultimate Proof of a Successful Brand by Denise Wymore
Baggage by Janet Street-Porter

About me?

I left Australia in the year 2000 with the aim of travelling until I got bored or went broke. I've since been broke many times over heh heh.

You can see the countries I've visited here. So many wonderful cultures left to explore. Now where to find the money to tick the rest of them off :)

You can also see the damage I've done to the USA on my endless roadtrips across the counties:

In a sheer moment of lunacy in 2007, I made a joke about wanting to live on a boat. This culminated in me taking on someone elses boat over the winter and continually cruising it around central London. In April 2008 I bought my own boat and am still roving around the canal system somwhere.

What am I reading?
1. Jake's Thing by Kingsley Amis
2. Choosing Single Motherhood by Nikki Morisette
3. Simon's Cat: Feed Me! by Simon Tofield
4. Empire of the Sun by J.G. Ballard
5. The Casual Vacancy by J.K. Rowling
6. Dune by Frank Herbert
7. Slinky Malinki by Lynley Dodd
8. The Velveteen Rabbit by Margery Williams
9. Buda's Wagon: A brief history of the car bomb by Mike Davis
10. What to Expect When Expecting by Heidi Murkoff
11. Ghosts of London by J.A. Brooks
12. Bumpology by Linda Geddes
13. House of Bush, House of Saud by Craig Unger
14. Flying Solo by Julia Wise
15. Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck
16. Go the Fuck to Sleep by Adam Mansbach
17. The Stars' Tennis Balls by Stephen Fry

I started keeping a list of books read in 2007 and would like to continue the list for this year. You can find my previous years reading lists here:
