Extended Profile
I may be considered an autodidact, for better or worse. I spend far too much money on supporting the habit. My reading tastes are refined but I will read most genres--in other words, I read what I like, but I like most anything. Non-fiction, historical
fiction, hilarious fiction, the classics--I like it all. Although my library doesn't particularly reflect it, I relish Russian literature, Tolstoy remaining my personal favorite to date (me and millions of others, I suppose). My enthusiasm wanes when it comes
to mysteries, romances, mysteries with romance, romysteries, mysterances, and romance mysteries. Ugh. And lastly, I have a fierce dislike for mass market paperbacks and carry them in my library only under duress (I hope this does not classify me as some sort
of book snob). I release all books that I have no inclination to read or don't intend to read a second time--the rest are available for loan if anyone desires.
Below I have listed my entire library. Several of the books are currently tied up in bookrings are have been released into the wild, yet most of my library will not be released. However, if you are interested in borrowing and reading any of these books simply let me know and arrangements can be made quite easily.
I currently manage three bookrings: "The Satanic Verses" by Salman Rushdie, "Cat's Cradle" by Kurt Vonnegut, and "The Saints' Guide to Happiness" by Robert Ellsberg.
