Caskets of jewels and coffers of gold!
Richer than I you can never be;
I had a mother who read to me!!
When I started school and was finally given the privilege of borrowing books from the school library, I didn't really know where to begin. So I started at one end of the library and worked my way around to the other, picking anything that looked interesting.
Anyone who knows me would be first to tell you, I can read almost anytime, anywhere, under almost any kind of conditions. I have a book with me virtually all the time, and have been known to snatch a few moments for reading at odd places. You'll still find me poking my nose into libraries and over people's shoulders to see what they're reading. I love bookstores and used book sales and with BCing my bookshelves are overflowing, but there's always room for one more book.
The only time I took a brief hiatus from reading has been very recently when I got married - the preparation, celebrations, holidays, getting accustomed to the new world took up all my time. But now I’m back!!!
Gosh now you know that I’m a addict!
Please look around and PM me if you find something that catches your fancy. Read your books; make them yours and the send them off. Books are to be read and reread, not collected and coddled. Make an exception here and there for those rare books that are treasured for their antiquity.
But when you pass it on you are enriched threefold.
