"...in truth books have no owner. Every book you see here has been somebody's best friend" (from The Shadow of the Wind, by Carlos Ruiz Zafon)
I was introduced to bookcrossing by my daughter, chelseagirl, but I didn't really get involved until I'd retired. I had until then tended to stick to authors I knew I was going to like, but that has changed now as through BC I am trying
and enjoying new ones. However, I don't like science fiction and horror or ghost stories, and I'm not over keen on biographies.
I've not had many catches with the books I've wild released and don't like to think that they have been chucked into a bin, so prefer to trade, take them to meets or send them as RABCKs to another bookcrosser. I am happy to let books go from my availables or
TBR lists but don't often post overseas.
The BCUK forum is a good place for finding out about rings, rays, meets and lots of chat, not always bookrelated!
