I'm a psychologist but would read half time given the opportunity. And what I would read... Lots of stuff, but for non-fiction I like political humor and women's history. For fiction, I like murder mysteries (especially those involving psychologists!), women's fiction, and most especially, cultural science fiction. And by that I mean science fiction that does not include blowing up other spaceships or huge amounts of technology. Rather, I like the thoughtful exploration of alternative cultures, be they alien or other possible ways for us to live together as humans.
