I am a radiographer and Artist currently taking a degree in Fine Art. I have Bookcrossed for a while. Initially I found it frustating that so few people actually write journal entries. My first book drops were done in staff rooms or in the medical library
where I work. The Eden Project has also benefitted from quite a few drops.Books left at random are more at risk of being picked up by people who cannot be bothered to visit the website but they also spread the word to people that have not discovered Bookcrossing.
I have set up an outdoor OBCZ and that has a steady turnover of books, Bookcrossers can be fairly certain of finding something at a well managed OBCZ and people with no interest in Bookcrossing seem to donate books regularly. About 75% of my books go through
the Saltash OBCZ the rest get dropped on a whim or with some sort of loose logic.
