Hei!
I'm a service designer from Australia living and working in Finland. My loves are reading, cooking and sleep-ins. I try my best to blend into Finnish society (the blonde hair really helps) and am also an avid Finnish language student and just last Christmas received my first pair of ice-skates. I look forward to the day I can read books in Finnish and skate like a Finn.
Back in Australia I was a founding member of a small Bookclub in Toowoomba which was a major source of my enthusiasm for different kinds of books. The purpose of our monthly Tuesday evenings was to provide motivation to finally read those elusive classic books that have always been on our 'to-read' lists but never made it to the top for whatever reasons. Though I've moved away, I still enjoy keeping up with what the group are reading.
These days my philosophy is about collecting experiences, not things. I'm also an advocate of the sharing economy, which is definitely gaining strength here in Finland. Bookcrossing is a wonderful way to experience books without having them accumulate dust on my bookshelf :)
