Recent Book Activity

I stumbled across this site and was immediately hooked by the idea of sharing a love of books with people all over the world and the concept of making the world into a giant library.

Imagine the thrill of discovering a book someone has released and learning about BookCrossing that way! I'm very excited by the idea that a book I release could bring that thrill to someone else, then someone else, then someone else etc - imagine where it could end up and how many lives it could pass through on its journey!

As a very new member (clearly yet to even register a book) I would welcome any tips or advice from other members. From what I have seen this seems like a warm and open community, of which I will hopefully soon become an active member.

****UPDATE****
I just registered my first book - hopefully the first of many in the near future! I also uploaded a pic for my profile - my cat Pekoe decided to get in on the BookCrossing action with me! Now if only I could teach him how to release books...

This is more to keep track of books I want to buy - I'm generally more of an impulse shopper, so hopefully this will keep me on track a little!
