I love books! Almost anything I can get my hands on. I believe wisdom comes from knowledge; knowledge comes from books (most of it anyway). A parent should read to their child daily--from birth. This gives them the beat of their language, a sense of closeness and a desire to read later on. I am starting a free reading program for children who may not have books of their own. The thought of a child w/o a book makes me cry. :-{ Taking a positive step ---- is the first step. I thank everyone here for helping me see that I can do something.....one book at a time.

Favorites include: mysteries, craft ( I collect old shirt buttons), and ones I can read to my 5yr old daughter (actually, she reads to me now). LOL
