Extended Profile
I am a part time Primary School teacher and a full time mum to a 10 yr old "skaterboy" and an 8 yr old "queen bee".
I used to be an avid reader, but these days I am time poor and spend more time craving time for a good read than actually indulging in a good read.
As a single parent, my lack of income sees many of my books arrive to me through my wonderful local library which has access to some great books (eventually) so my 'bookshelf' appears quite bare compared to some. But like all libraries, there are more readers
than good books so I still buy books when I can and I love releasing them once I am finished with them (keeps me from buying another bookcase).
The current time at my house in Perth Western Australia:
Bookrings/bookrays I am currently waiting to receive: (I am trying to avoid joining bookrings/bookrays for now as I am swamped with TBR's and I need to make some space in my study).
Ain't Myth-Behaving by Kate MacAlister
Bookrings/bookrays I have read and forwarded on:
The Three Miss Margarets by Louise Shaffer
My Life as a Traitor by by Zarah Ghahramani
The Reading Group by Elizabeth Noble
Nothing Bad Ever Happens at Tiffanys, by Marion Keyes
War Horse by Michael Murpurgo
I have lived a thousand years by Livia Bitton-Jackson
A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini
Housekeeping by Marilynne Robinson,
Fighting Ruben Wolf by Marcus Zusak
Circles of Silence by Preety Singh
People of the Book by Geraldine Brooks
Something Blue by Emily Griffin
The Ten O'Clock Horses by Laurie Graham
.....and many more. (I am a bit slack and don't update as often as I should)
My Dominant Intelligence is Linguistic Intelligence |
You are excellent with words and language. You explain yourself well. An elegant speaker, you can converse well with anyone on the fly. You are also good at remembering information and convincing someone of your point of view. A master of creative phrasing and unique words, you enjoy expanding your vocabulary. You would make a fantastic poet, journalist, writer, teacher, lawyer, politician, or translator. |
