Extended Profile
I am a Brit Aussie who has also lived in Canada. I love to read, although I don't read as much as I used to and my main reading focus is non-fiction (esp. permaculture) these days. My book choices include permaculture, organic gardening, self reliance
and sustainability, spirituality, poetry, and novels including classics, science fiction, contemporary and older fiction (but not crime, horror, trashy romances - I'm choosy about fiction!) I discovered Bookcrossing when I was in Australia many years ago.
My family and I were in a cafe prior to going to see a movie in the cinema and there in the cafe I found a Bookcrossing book! I thought it was an excellent idea. I took the book I found to the UK and released it into the wild there. I very much believe in
recycling and think Bookcrossing is great. It fits my ethics well. Plus it's a buzz when others find the books, which I've been lucky enough to bear witness to in person a few times. :-)
