Extended Profile
well i have shockingly bad at checking out whats happening on here. i have been studying (since sept) to be a trainee teacher and that seems to have taken over my life. this is coming to an end soon and then i look forward to a great summer and then another stay in hospital.
i have hardly read any books this year apart from ones necessary for my course all of which have been childrens books.
I have just been diagnosed with a hereditary condition called CMT, this affect the muscle strength in my arms and legs. However, this makes no difference to my enthusiasm for life especially my hobbies. i think to say that i love reading would be silly, i have been an avid reader since i was small reading lord of the rings by the time i was 12 or so and from there read my way through the many books living in my parents house.
when i was old enough to i started buying my own books and developed a love for sci-fi and fantasy books. i own over 150 books and am a horder not a giver, i hate lending books to people who abuse them by breaking the spine and folding corners over, a pet hate. i have read my way through my friends and their siblings bookshelves as well.
i love reading philosophy books and am currently studying for a second degree with the Open University, part of which will be philosophy based the other literature. my first passion in life after reading is theatre i trained in the theatre arts (BA Hons) and love reading about the theatre and its history. i also read books on religions such as Buddhism, Hinduism and Paganism. i practise no religious beliefs but find them interesting to learn about.
