Extended Profile
I am an avid reader of 19th and early 20th century history, also cime and historical fiction. I am also keen on travel-books, partcularly those dealing with the psyches personalities of mountaineers and polar explorers (I have enjoyed reading a couple
of Jon Krakauer's books and the recent bio of Don Whillans).
For nearly thirty years I worked in a bank, and am now a civil servant (and worth every penny I cost the tax-payer!). Carol, my wife, is a keen crafts-person, and enjoys making cards, book-marks and decorative items in her work-shop or in the dining-room! We have just had a great week's holiday with a BookCrossing member and his wife at Ardachy; he and I walked 4/5 of the Great Glen Way, and will knock off the remainder before we're too much older!
