Recent Book Activity

I love to read but these days between family, work, pet & home committments there isn't much time to devote to it. I'm a married stay-at-home Mum of two and proud owner of two fur babies. In a former life I worked in administrative roles and in an ideal world when I return to work it will be in healthcare.

I like literary fiction, travel, biographies/auto biographies & memoirs, crime & thrillers but will read most genres. Except Sci Fi. I tend to read a lot of books which revolve around women or socio/cultural themes but am not usually a big fan of 'chick lit'.

Favourite authors include Alice Walker, Maya Angelou, Babara Kingsolver & Amy Tan. Recently discovered Augusten Burroughs too.

I love to send RABCKs and will swap books happily but do not respond to begging requests! My bookshelf is a good reflection of my tastes as I only list books I read and cross them once I've read them.
