If you have found one of my books, welcome to bookcrossing! This book is a gift from me to you. You are welcome to keep the book for as long as you want, but what I really hope is that once you are done with it you will give it away (or leave it in a public place for someone else to find). Also, it would be great if you wrote a journal entry (it can be anonymous) to update me on this book's adventures.

My primary bookcrossing interest is in wild releasing, but if you see something on my "available" list that you really want, feel free to PM an inquiry to me, I may be interested in a trade. My bookshelf is not all-inclusive and not a perfect picture of my reading tastes. Many of my most loved books aren't on here. I haven't gotten around to registering everything I've got and a lot of my current reading is e-books which I'm not sure I'll register since there is no way to pass secure e-books along to anyone.

I've been a book lover since before I could read. My mother and father enjoy telling the story of me as a tot standing in front of Dad's bookshelves with my hands twitching with the desire to touch them but knowing that it was forbidden. My own bookshelves began to fill as soon as I learned to read. I love reading and I love books. They do take up space though!

Since discovering Bookcrossing, what a freeing feeling! Now the books piling up on my shelves and the books I've been gifted with that I don't really want to read are no longer a burden. They are a an exciting challenge. I will say it is painful though, standing there in front of my precious books saying to myself "not that one... nor that one... oh no I couldn't part with *that* one". Some are dear friends I'll read over and over again and never part with. But now, the ones that were good for a just one read will be going on adventures!

I "borrowed" the following book rating scale of another BC'ers profile. It helps a lot to have a way to be consistent with my ratings!

10. Excellent, at the top of its category. This book has impacted me deeply, challenged me profoundly, or has simply been a pure delight to read.
9. Great book - just a nitpick stands between it and a 10
8. Good, solid book that I would recommend to others.
7. Good book, but it didn't grab me in a big way.
6. Decent, but not my type of book.
5. Maybe somebody else would like this. I didn't.
4. Only OK. Barely worth reading. The line between taking it and leaving it is very thin.
3-2. Has major problems. I don't recommend it.
1. It's hard to imagine anyone liking this book.
