December 2020: My address has changed as of July 2019! Please do not send to Mercer Island. This should be my last address change for awhile pending unforeseen circumstances.

If you are sending books to me for the "leave-a-book-take-a-book" shelf at my work, I have a different mailing address. Please PM for the address.

I continue to register books and bookcross. I have been participating in bookboxes and releasing my books to the "leave-a-book-take-a-book" shelf at work. I also play the wishlist tag game on the forum. Come join us, especially if you are fond of sending/receiving RABCK! Thanks for visiting.

Visit my Goodreads to see books I've read that aren't a part of bookcrossing.

The wishlist on this site is as up-to-date as I can make it. Yes, I have been wishing for books since 2004. If they are the list, I still want them. I try to go through and take off books I don't think I'll ever read or I have gotten. Sometimes I end up with duplicates because I get multiple recommendations for the same book and don't see it already on my list.

I am trying to update my photo regularly. Current photo is from home November 2020.

Taking the great idea on a profile of another bookcrosser, and knowing that there are bookcrossers expecting Mt. TBR books from me, I'm going to try to keep my upcoming reading list here. I may or may not be able to keep this updated, but my goal is so that bookcrossers who are expecting something from me can see if it is held up because of my TBR queue or just because I am not great at getting to the post office. (Hint: if you are expecting a book from me and it isn't listed here, it is probably in my "to be mailed" pile.)
Library Books:
4 books I need to read for research for my writing (1 in progress)

Books Reserved for Bookboxes:

I'm hosting a bookbox! Series Book, Not the First, Bookbox - This will probably go international and I'll try to honor shipping preferences within countries.

Over the past 15.5 years, I have had periods of high bookcrossing activity and low bookcrossing activity. Currently am the Associate Manager of NMR Facility in the Chemistry department at UW (a PhD physical chemist.) Besides that, I am married with two adult children, and two dogs and a lizard. Currently, I am not writing online although I used to.

I do sometimes get so busy I forget to reply to PM's. If you have not heard back from me in one week, please politely resend. Either I did not receive it (which has been known to happen) or I forgot to respond. I do not read the forums except for the aforementioned wishlist tag game and bookboxes I'm participating in.

My Offered Bookrings! - ALL ARE CLOSED
I offered up the Black Jewels Trilogy Omnibus (all 3 books in one volume) by Anne Bishop for a bookring. Because the Omnibus has been stuck, I am sending the trilogy in the 3 separate books that I have. I have altered the bookring list to reflect this for Daughter of the Blood, Heir to the Shadows, and Queen of the Darkness. (Because I could stand it no longer, I ordered myself another Omnibus and turned the three book ring into a ray.) Closed.

(6/28/06) Godslayer Volume II of the Sundering Duology by Jacqueline Carey. International, relaxed ray. Closed.

(6/13/10) It's been awhile since I've done a book ray, but I offered a spiral of Charlaine Harris's Sookie Stackhouse books, the basis of the current series, TrueBlood. I will start with Dead Until Dark and follow with each of the books: Living Dead in Dallas, Club Dead, Dead to the World, Dead as a Doornail, Definitely Dead, All Together Dead, From Dead to Worse, Collection: A Touch of Dead, Dead and Gone, Dead in the Family, Dead Reckoning (waiting ppb release - hardcover 5/3/11) . The spiral is now closed.

Completed (These have returned home or ended at their last ray person):
Kushiel's Dart, Kushiel's Chosen, Kushiel's Avatar
Banewreaker
Shadow Puppets
Micah
The Legend of Nightfall

I also have a book review journal for those books I cannot register on bookcrossing.

In all actuality, I have wild released tons of books. I used to track this number, especially before BC tried to distinguish between wild and controlled releases. I've long lost track due to the mass moving of books out of my possession.

My first catch ever was Bloodsucking Fiends. And he joined! Although he used me as a friend, but not a referral. Catch rate: unknown. (The second one was 4 months after release!)

I used to twitter as fiainros. You can find me on facebook.

Now that I've so eloquently expressed my geekiness, enjoy the rest of bookcrossing.

Are you sure you want to delete this item? It cannot be undone.
