What if everyone in Whatcom County read the same book? That's the idea behind Whatcom READS!

Jim Lynch's "Border Songs" is the Whatcom READS! pick for 2011, with "Highest Tide" as the Teen book.

How to participate:

1. READ - Enjoy the book you found and pass it on (after logging the book's travels on www.BookCrossing.com

2. CONNECT - Engage friends, family, coworkers, neighbors, and fellow students in discussions about the book and its themes

3. PLAN - Organize a book discussion or other community event related to the book's themes

4. PARTICIPATE - Attend Whatcom READS! events through February 2011, culminating with a visit by the author on February 24, 2010, 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at Syre Center on the Whatcom Community College campus. Watch the website for more event information! http://www.whatcomreads.org.
